SITE COUNCIL

The Tam Valley Site Council is a collaborative decision-making group of parents and staff, which meets monthly with the goal of providing each child with the best education possible. Composed of four teachers, five parents and the school principal, the primary task of the Site Council is to create and implement a set of annual school improvement goals.

The Site Council also looks at resources to increase student success and monitors effectiveness of school curriculum and programs. Members of the council serve three years.  When positions become available they are advertised through the PTA Newsletter, and parents submit their interest in writing.  If there are more interested parents than available positions, an election is held.

Meetings of the Site Council are held six or seven times per year, from 3:30-5:00 pm on Mondays.   All parents and staff are welcome to attend Site Council meetings.
