The PTA sponsors a lunch program, with ordering information sent home twice per year in August (in the first day packet) and January. Milk for lunch also may be purchased by the semester.
Children in kindergarten through fifth grade may purchase milk and/or lunches for as many days per week as interested.
The PTA lunch program satisfies state and federal guidelines for nutritional value and number of calories. A binder with nutritional information is available from the PTA upon request.
Children of low-income families may be eligible for free or reduced-price lunches. Please see the form in the first day packet, or contact the school office.
Volunteers to distribute food (a 45-minute commitment) are always needed. Contact the principal (gvanadelsberg@mvschools.org) if you are willing to help, even twice a month.
Profits from the PTA lunch program are crucial as they help to fund Tam Valley’s K-3rd grade science instructor and garden coordinator.
