The Parent Teacher Association at Tam Valley is the major way in which parents support the school. Through volunteer activities, the PTA enriches the experiences of all students, supports the teachers, promotes parent education, and advocates for children in the community and before governmental bodies.
PTA meetings are held monthly, on Wednesday evenings, and are publicized on the display sign, in the newsletter, and on the web calendar.
The Tam Valley PTA sponsors and/or funds these important programs and events:
Science Enrichment Instructor (Susan Beuhler) for Kindergarten through third grade students
Garden Coordinator (Betsy Chatton) for all students plus garden supplies
Technology equipment and teacher training
Scholarships for students (field trips, etc.)

School assemblies
District parent education seminars
Emergency preparedness supplies
Supplementary P.E. equipment
Monthly art displays
Support for the District Directory
Student Writing Anthology

If you are not yet involved in PTA, you can volunteer twice a month with lunch distribution, assisting the librarian, or helping once in a while with an all-school event. For those who are even more ambitious, consider heading a PTA committee!
We appreciate your financial support with these important fundraisers:
Lunch program (to fund Susan Beuhler and Betsy Chatton)
Book Fair and Birthday Book Club (to support the library)
Walkathon (to purchase all other supplies and fund all other programs).
